I was invited to give a talk on human evolution at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. A very interesting discussion followed with colleagues from the humanities!

New paper accepted!

Our latest article has been accepted for publication in Ecology and Evolution. Using microsatellite data, this paper assesses the genetic diversity and structure of the species of Micromeria present in Tenerife.

I was invited to give a talk to 5th and 6th grade students at a local elementary school for boys. The subject I chose to talk about was mimicry in plants. We had so much fun and the kids really enjoyed the talk!

New Micromeria in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura

A new name for the taxon of Micromeria present in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura was published today. Micromeria mahanensis Puppo was published in "Corrections to Phytotaxa 230: New species and new combinations in Micromeria (Lamiaceae) from the Canary Islands and Madeira".

New paper accepted!

Our latest manuscript has been accepted for publication in Phytotaxa! This paper deals with the taxonomical revision of several taxa of Micromeria in the Canary Islands and Madeira. 

New position!

This month I have started working at Boku University in Vienna, Austria, as a Postgraduate Research Assistant. This is a temporary position and I'll be at Boku until December.
